TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION

Rubik's Cube Solver reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Rubik's Cube Solver Web Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice. This policy explains what information is processed when you use rubiks-cube-solver.com (the "Site"), which third parties are involved, and what choices you have.

Who is responsible

The Site is operated by Ruwix, the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at the email address shown below or on the contact page.

Information we process

• Using the solvers. The cube solvers run entirely in your browser. The colors you enter are sent to the solution page in the address bar (URL) and are not stored on our server. Your color settings may be saved in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device.
• Camera scanner. The scan page asks for permission to use your camera. The video is analysed only inside your browser to read the sticker colors; no image or video is uploaded or recorded.
• Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply and to improve the Site. We delete them when they are no longer needed for that purpose.
• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically logs technical data for each request: IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page and time. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted after a short period.

We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run user forms, and we do not sell personal information for money.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. Ads may also be served by other ad technology providers that Google works with.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, time on page, device type, approximate location by country or city). Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data is kept for the retention period configured in our account, at most 14 months. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Embedded videos and share buttons

Some pages embed YouTube videos. When a video loads, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy. The Facebook, X and LinkedIn share buttons are plain links: nothing is sent to those networks unless you click one.

Cookies and your consent

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided by Google's certified consent management platform, before advertising and analytics cookies are used. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link shown on pages with ads. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the solvers keep working without them.

Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising and analytics cookies, where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for server logs that keep the Site secure, for non-personalized ads, and for answering your emails.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email us; we will reply within one month.

US state privacy rights (including California). We do not sell personal information for money. Showing personalized ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state laws. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings, through a "Do Not Sell or Share" option where the consent message offers one, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

International transfers

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Children

The Site is a general audience puzzle tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
